SHEEP NEWS & SALE

As of January 2007, we are breeding a small flock of Solognot sheep.

We have chosen this race because the sheep is beautiful and the race very resistant. At first, our flock will counts 8 covered adult ewes and 4 young ones.

The adult ewes have been with a ram since October and the youngest have spent the whole of December with a ram. The gestation period is about 5 months. We are wondering how many lambs will be born this spring. We will raise the young males till they are about 10-months old, then we will offer them for sale. We have planned to buy a ram next fall to get some new blood and really start our breeding farm.
